Google continues efforts to tackle spammy content with this algorithm update.

Google Spam Update.

In a tweet on 3 Nov, Google announced that it was rolling out the November 2021 Spam Update, as part of their regular work to improve results.

It said the update should be fully rolled out within a week and linked to their best practice guide for Search

Update 12 Nov: Google confirmed in a tweet on 11 November that the update had completed rolling out.

Google's summer of updates 2021

Google has been quiet over the last couple of months in terms of updates, following the earlier bonanza which saw 7 updates in the space of a few months. These comprised:

8th April - Product Reviews Update
3rd June - June Core Update
15th June - Page Experience Update
23rd June - Spam Update part 1
28th June - Spam Update part 2
1st July - July Core Update
26 July - Search Link Spam Update
