Microsoft has announced the launch of its new Retail Media Creative Studio which. The AI-powered tool allows retailers and advertisers to create banner ads in seconds based on a product’s URL.

Microsoft says the AI-generated banner creative will automatically align to the individual retailer’s style guide so there’s no need for manual resizing or tweaks.

The tool also offers seamless banner editing powered by generative AI. Integrated features include:

  • Use a simple prompt such as “put this sofa in a cosy living room” to transform a product photo into an eye-catching lifestyle image.
  • Input preferred words and phrases for a selection of tailor-made headline options.
  • Crop and clean up any unwanted background or words.
  • Easily modify all banner elements from imagery to headlines.

Time saving

Retailers can control what appears on their sites through a streamlined creative review process. Different teams are able to review and approve the same set of banner creatives, speeding up the approval process so advertisers can launch campaigns faster.

Optimization

AI-powered algorithms are used to select and show the most effective banner creative, based on key performance metrics such as click-through and sales conversion rates. Microsoft says this will save time on running A/B testing

Once the banner ad campaign goes live, Microsoft Retail Media also leverages AI-powered algorithms to choose and display the most effective banner creative based on key performance metrics such as click-through rates (CTRs) and sales conversion rates

This “in flight” optimization saves retailers time they would spend running A/B testing to improve banner campaign performance.
