It’s almost here again, the end of year shopping ritual that kicks off with Black Friday weekend. We take a look at the figures from 2017.

It’s almost here again, the end of year shopping ritual that kicks off with Black Friday weekend. It can be a lucrative few days with many shoppers looking for bargains and keen to start their seasonal shopping early.  In the US it’s a massive, well established event, with online revenue hitting $2.36bn in 2017. And there’s a lot of bricks and mortar sales too, with 116m people shopping in stores or a mix of stores and online.  In the UK too, it’s growing in popularity with a 17% rise in sales in 2017.

This year, Black Friday falls on 23 November with Cyber Monday following on 26 November.
